Carpet manufacturers agree the average
carpet should be cleaned
at a minimum of once a year. This is a minimum
recommendation.
The traffic areas should be professionally cleaned at
least twice a year.
In the past there may have been some
truth to the belief that carpet
got dirtier faster after it was cleaned.
This was due primarily to the
fact that in the old days soapy, sticky
residue was left in the carpet.
This would attract the dirt.
However, my method leaves no sticky
residue. In fact it effectively
removes residue that has been left
behind.
The worst thing a carpet owner can do
today is to leave the dirt in
the carpet. Given enough time the color of
the dirt will discolor the
carpet. Also, the dirt granules are hard.
Over time, the dirt granules
will act like mild sand paper and will
scratch up the carpet fibers.
Once these fibers are scratched they will
not reflect the light back
to your eye properly. These scratched fibers
will appear darker than
the rest of the carpet, even though all the dirt
has been removed.
Yes, it is possible to afford to keep
your carpets clean and looking
good all year round, year after year.
Whether your carpets are brand
new or several years old, you can
maintain your carpet in the same
way you maintain your auto. The average
car owner can afford to
keep his car maintained, so the average homeowner can also afford
to maintain his or her carpet with a
maintenance program, which
will greatly extend the life of their carpet.
As a motivation for you to properly
maintain your carpet, we offer a
50% (FIFTY PERCENT) Discount for those
who have their traffic
areas maintained every six months.
